Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trever Bernard! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Lighten. No joy for Bernard on that attempt. Bernard keeps the fight on the outside. Bernard dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lighten. That did some damage! Lighten misses with a takedown attempt and Bernard counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lighten is looking for a sweep. Bernard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lighten looking for submissions off his back. Bernard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Lighten looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bernard takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bernard drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bernard looks gassed! Lighten manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Bernard gets a takedown into half guard. Bernard is looking to stall here but Lighten recovers full guard. Lighten working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bernard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Lighten is tightening it up a little... Bernard has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bernard reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bernard taps out! nice BJJ there by Lighten!
