Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hossam Merenhor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Beuys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hossam Merenhor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hans Beuys!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merenhor fails with an attempt to clinch.
Merenhor has a takedown stuffed.
Merenhor is looking to clinch but Beuys is avoiding it.
Merenhor shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Beuys defends it nicely.
Merenhor fails to land the takedown.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Merenhor shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beuys pinned against the cage. Beuys gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Beuys connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Merenhor fails in his attempt to clinch.
Beuys ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Merenhor moves away.
Beuys looks to land a right hand but Merenhor moved out of range.

Merenhor closes the distance and clinches up with Beuys, looking for a takedown. Merenhor pushes Beuys against the cage but Beuys circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hossam Merenhor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Beuys.

Beuys darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Beuys takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Nice defenses there by Merenhor.
Beuys throws a right and a left that Merenhor avoids nicely.

and Beuys counters with a single leg into guard. Merenhor didn't expect that.
Beuys is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Beuys's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hans Beuys.

Merenhor closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Beuys did well to prevent Merenhor getting side control.

Beuys has his hands clasped together around Merenhor's back. He's all about the action.
The fighters are battling for position here. Beuys manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Merenhor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beuys swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Beuys bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Merenhor's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hans Beuys showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Well Beuys has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
