Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Den Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, T Dawg! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Dawg is trying to break free. Santos keeps control of Dawg as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Santos holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Dawg tries to circle away but Santos has him pinned against the cage. Santos tries to pull guard but Dawg holds him up against the cage and eventually Santos drops back down to his feet.
Santos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dawg smiles and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dawg throws a combination. Santos tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Dawg misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dawg defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Den Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Santos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dawg sprawls well. Dawg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Santos gets slowly back to his feet. Dawg circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dawg throws a right hand that Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that Santos also avoids with ease. Santos takes a shot to the body in his stride.

T Dawg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A swing and a miss from Dawg. Santos shoots in for a takedown but Dawg shows good takedown defense.

Santos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Santos doesn't manage to clinch there - Dawg circles away.
Dawg looks to score with a jab to the body but Santos is just out of range. Dawg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santos circles away quickly and effectively. Santos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dawg is trying to defend but Santos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Santos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dawg keeps working.

Santos controlling the action here. Santos wants to take a breather but Dawg is having none of it. Santos is looking to advance position but Dawg won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dawg lands a nice hook to Santos's body. Santos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Dawg stuffs the takedown attempt from Santos. Santos gets slowly back to his feet. Dawg leaves Santos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dawg's waist but Dawg gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Santos off to one side. A shot to the liver by Dawg. Beautiful body shot. Santos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Santos slips a jab and a cross from Dawg.

Dawg looks gassed! Santos fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dawg avoids it really well and circles away. T Dawg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dawg smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
T Dawg dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dawg as he jumps to the side. Dawg throws a lazy right hand but Santos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Dawg stalks Santos and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Santos's face. Santos staggers backwards, shaken. Dawg closes the distance and lands a one-two. Santos shoots in but Dawg avoids the takedown attempt easily. Santos scores with a takedown into Dawg's guard. Santos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dawg is keeping the position for now. Dawg wants to stand and escape but Santos is having none of it. Dawg is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos stays in close to Dawg's body and controls the position. Santos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dawg keeping full guard, as Santos tries to pass. Santos stops Dawg from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Santos looking to pass the guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Santos moves into the clinch. Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Santos throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Santos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Den Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos clinches. A right hook to the body lands for Santos.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dawg wants it to stay on the feet. Dawg misses with a wild combination.
Dawg ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Santos moves away. Santos's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Santos duly obliges. Dawg keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dawg defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Santos. Dawg gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos forces his way into half guard. Santos is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dawg sees it coming and defends easily. Dawg pushes Santos off looking to stand but Santos dives back in and keeps control.
Santos passes to side control. Dawg gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Den Santos dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Santos is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dawg can't keep his opponent in guard - Santos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Santos wants to control but Dawg is keeping him busy. Santos trying to control the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Den Santos. Santos has a takedown stuffed. Santos misses with a double jab
and Dawg counters with a straight right hand. Santos cracks a nice hook into Dawg's ribs. Santos throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dawg makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Santos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dawg tries to avoid it but Santos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dawg to the ground. Dawg escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Santos dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dawg slaps away a takedown attempt from Santos, before circling back to the center of the mat. Santos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dawg prevents the takedown attempt.
Santos changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dawg fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dawg defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Santos. A looping hook to the body misses from Dawg. Santos does a little dance to reset his feet. Dawg throws a nice looking combination but Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Santos clinches up with Dawg and pushes him back against the cage. Santos is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
A frustrated look appears on Dawg's face as he tries to break the clinch.
