Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drape Shorts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robinson comes into the arena with Kid Rock - American Badass blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shorts is trying to defend but Robinson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Robinson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Robinson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Patrick Robinson.
Shorts doesn't manage to clinch there - Robinson circles away.
Patrick Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robinson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Shorts gets caught flat footed, as Robinson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Robinson tries to free his leg and advance position but Shorts is retaining full guard.
Shorts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shorts wants to stand but Robinson is controlling the position.
Robinson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Robinson pushes down on Shorts's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Shorts tries to get to full guard but Robinson has control of the leg.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Robinson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Patrick Robinson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Shorts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Robinson.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Shorts keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Robinson closes the distance and clinches up with Shorts, looking for a takedown. Robinson pushes Shorts against the cage but Shorts circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Robinson misses with a takedown attempt - Shorts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shorts tries to clinch there but Robinson circles away.

It looks like Patrick Robinson has been cut.
Robinson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Shorts did well to prevent Robinson getting side control.
Shorts is trying to get back to full guard.
Robinson uses his free foot to push down on Shorts's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Shorts.
Robinson is breathing heavily.

Robinson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shorts pinned against the cage. Shorts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Shorts stuffs the takedown attempt from Robinson. Robinson gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice uppercut there from Shorts.
Shorts scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Robinson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shorts swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Robinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Robinson shoots for a takedown but Shorts saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Robinson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Robinson is rocked!
Shorts scores with a punch to the head.
Oh Robinson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Robinson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Robinson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Robinson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shorts's waist but Shorts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Robinson off to one side.
Robinson looks for a takedown but Shorts sprawls well.
Robinson seems to have got his legs back now.
Shorts tries to close the distance and clinch but Robinson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Shorts sends Robinson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shorts is motioning to the referee to let Robinson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Shorts lands a right hook to the body.

Shorts stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shorts wants it to stay on the feet.
Shorts lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Patrick Robinson's cut is getting worse.
Shorts lands with a big right hook that stumbles Robinson - he's out on his feet here! Shorts follows up with another monster hook that separates Robinson from consciousness! Robinson falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Shorts stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Drape Shorts!
