Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Syd Scarr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grzegorz Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Materla is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by kavkaz eta sila . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Syd Scarr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Grzegorz Materla! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scarr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Materla but Materla pushes him off and we're back to square one. Scarr lands a nice leg kick that just misses Materla's sensitive parts. Materla shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Scarr but Scarr pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Materla closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Scarr quickly recovers to half guard. Materla wants to work for an arm triangle but Scarr is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Materla wants to free his trapped foot but Scarr is holding on for dear life with his legs. Materla takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Materla is looking to take a break and control but Scarr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Materla is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scarr wants to improve his position but Materla is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Scarr is pressing down on Materla's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Scarr managing to control the position. Materla looking to sit in guard and control but Scarr gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Materla looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Materla is trying to control the position but Scarr postures up. Scarr trying to control the position from guard on top but Materla is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Scarr controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Scarr stopping the sweep attempt from Materla. Scarr has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Materla working for a triangle but Scarr defends it easily.

Scarr looks to land a combination but Materla avoids it well. Materla gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Scarr to score an easy takedown into full guard. Materla is looking for a triangle here but Scarr uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Materla is looking to reverse the position. Materla is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scarr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Materla keeps working. Materla is trying to control Scarr's posture but Scarr avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. A control attempt from Materla but he's now mounted! Scarr controlling from mount. Materla sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Materla actively working from the bottom here. Scarr passes into side control, despite Materla's attempt to control the position.
Materla seems a little lost for a moment, as Scarr dominates the positioning. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scarr wants to control but Materla is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. You can see the frustration on Materla's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Materla trying to control but Scarr flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Syd Scarr dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Materla has his takedown stuffed and Scarr counters by clinching up. Materla is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Materla looking for a takedown. Syd Scarr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grzegorz Materla. Scarr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Scarr throws a leg kick which misses Materla's front leg but catches the back leg as Materla tries to avoid it. Scarr lands a nice leg kick that just misses Materla's sensitive parts. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Scarr!
It looks like Grzegorz Materla has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A solid body kick from Scarr. A slapping leg kick lands for Scarr.
Horrible takedown by Materla or perhaps it was just good defense by Scarr which made him look bad. Syd Scarr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Materla takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Scarr lands with a kick to the temple. Materla shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Scarr bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Materla's head backwards. Scarr scores with a nice strike.
Materla is rocked! Scarr lands a left and a right that send Materla crashing to the mat, dazed. Scarr thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Materla is still on wobbly legs! Can Scarr finish him? Scarr moves into the clinch successfully.
Scarr landing knees to the body.
Materla seems to have recovered his senses. Scarr tries a knee to the head but Materla blocks it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Materla blocks an elbow strike. Scarr pushes off an throws an elbow but Materla leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Scarr using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Materla has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scarr with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Materla looking for a takedown. Come on Scarr - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Scarr is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Knees in the clinch landing for Scarr.
Materla tries to score a body lock takedown but Scarr shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Scarr working some nice short punches in the clinch. Scarr lands a knee to the body.

Materla is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Scarr pulls him back up using the underhooks. Materla has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. That's two minutes gone in the round. Materla trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Materla trying to control the position from guard on top but Scarr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Materla drops back, looking for a kneebar! Scarr looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Scarr looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Scarr! Scarr just content to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Materla is looking for a sweep. Materla is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Materla wants to control but Scarr passes into side.

And that's the end of the fight! Syd Scarr showed his dominance in that final round. Well Scarr has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
