Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rip James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tra King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen God's Gonna Cut You Down as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rip James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tra King! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in King's guard. James looking to pass the guard. James pushes down on King's leg and manages to get into half guard. James is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. King looking for submissions off his back. James prevents King from improving his position. James is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and King defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. King tries to roll over but James keeps him under control. James passes to side control. James could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. King sneaks back into half guard. James wants to work for an arm triangle but King is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
King is looking to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if James can do anything to dispel that myth. James frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. King really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and King is now in James's guard. A big mistake from James there, giving up the dominant position! James wants to sweep here but King controlling him for the moment. King avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
James is breathing heavily. King preventing the sweep. James is looking for a triangle here but King uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

James slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. James is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! King has his hands clasped together but James extends an breaks King's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by James.
