PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Caputi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is NY State of Mind. Chris Wilson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Luca Caputi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson is looking to clinch.
Wilson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Wilson duly obliges.
Wilson fails with the takedown.
Wilson tries to clinch up but Caputi circles away and keeps his distance.

Caputi shoots for a takedown but Wilson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wilson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Caputi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Wilson tries to roll over but Caputi keeps him under control.

Caputi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wilson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Caputi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wilson's back instead.
