The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thenga tries to close the distance and clinch but Doyle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Doyle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Doyle cracks Thenga with a right hand to the side of the head.

Thenga is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doyle lunges at Thenga with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Thenga's hand.

Thenga tries to close the distance and clinch up but Doyle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Doyle lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

letting Doyle counter with a right hand.

Doyle is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thenga's half guard.
Doyle wants to pass to mount but Thenga is defending the position.
Doyle perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Thenga is holding on to half guard well.

Doyle throws a looping overhand right but Thenga ducks down to avoid it.

Doyle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Doyle looking to isolate an arm here. Thenga doesn't see it coming and as Doyle extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Doyle!
