The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from sson.
Santos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? sson is fending him off so far but Santos persists. Nope, sson circles away and we're back to standing.
Santos is looking to clinch but sson is avoiding it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Santos.
Santos shoots in for a takedown but sson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
jim sson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elinho Santos.
sson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
sson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Santos is defended easily by sson.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

sson is looking for a sweep. Santos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Santos winds up and cracks sson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Santos frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Santos avoids the attempt from sson to control.

Santos is keen to just control but sson is a slippery customer.
Santos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Santos stops sson from getting back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Santos seems to be looking for submissions.
sson wants to control but Santos is keeping busy and won't allow it.
sson tries to roll over but Santos keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
sson tries to kick Santos off but Santos keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Santos stands up out of the half guard.
sson tries to clinch up.
Santos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and sson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Santos decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
sson wants to improve his position but Santos is controlling well.

sson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Santos on the ground.

Santos controlling the position easily from mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
sson is trying to reverse the position but instead Santos has taken his back - oops!
Santos has good solid back control here.
Santos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
sson tries to roll but Santos sticks to his back.

Santos is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Santos connects with a big shot to the side of sson's head.
Santos is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged sson with him. sson is trying to defend but Santos has an arm under the chin now! sson grimaces and is forced to tap out!
