Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lipsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kari Tapio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lipsky's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Das Spiel Ist Aust. Matt Lipsky could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kari Tapio's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matt Lipsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Tapio!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tapio gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lipsky.
Tapio tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lipsky gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lipsky misses with an elbow strike.
Tapio drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lipsky pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tapio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lipsky.
Lipsky misses with a body shot.
A nice inside leg kick there by Tapio. That's going to slow Lipsky down.
Lipsky circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tapio will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lipsky tries to close the distance and clinch but Tapio swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lipsky wants to clinch up but Tapio keeps it at a distance.
Tapio blocks a head kick by Lipsky.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tapio is defended easily by Lipsky.
Matt Lipsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kari Tapio.
Nice takedown defense from Lipsky. No joy for Tapio on that attempt.
Lipsky displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tapio.
Tapio shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lipsky sprawls well. Lipsky wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tapio gets slowly back to his feet.
Tapio looks gassed!
Lipsky throws a leg kick which misses Tapio's front leg but catches the back leg as Tapio tries to avoid it.
Lipsky fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lipsky dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lipsky lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lipsky gets a clinch.
Tapio takes a knee right on the jaw!
Clinched against the cage, Lipsky lands a big elbow that drops Tapio! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Tapio is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Lipsky!
