Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eli Brooks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Blaze! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooks looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brooks tries to bum rush Blaze with a series of wild strikes but Blaze uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Blaze closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brooks to the mat! Brooks manages to get full guard. Brooks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blaze can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Blaze is pushing down on Brooks's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brooks is fighting to maintain full guard but Blaze has managed to sneak the leg through. Brooks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brooks tries to get out of the position. Blaze is pressing down on Brooks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brooks is holding on for now. Brooks trying to control here.
Blaze is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Blaze is working for a kimura but Brooks is defending it quite comfortably.
Blaze lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blaze tries to pass the half guard into mount. Brooks knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Brooks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brooks. Blaze throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Blaze trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Blaze drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blaze jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brooks is looking for a triangle here but Blaze uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Blaze wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brooks, who protects the arm well. Blaze tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Brooks is looking for a sweep. Brooks wants to control but Blaze postures up. Blaze thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Brooks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blaze on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brooks pushes Blaze away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Blaze gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Brooks regains half guard. Blaze tries to pass the half guard into mount. Brooks knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Blaze looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Blaze is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brooks sees it coming and defends easily. Blaze looks gassed!

Al Blaze dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Blaze shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Danga de danga de dang - Brooks scores with a four punch combination! Brooks throws a push kick but Blaze slaps the foot to one side. Eli Brooks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Left hook, right uppercut from Brooks. Brooks lands a glancing blow to the side of Blaze's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brooks throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blaze. Left hook, right uppercut from Brooks. Blaze fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Blaze changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brooks tries to avoid it but Blaze manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brooks to the ground. Brooks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Eli Brooks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Blaze. Brooks attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Blaze fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Blaze has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Blaze is breathing heavily. Blaze shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Brooks scores with a body shot.
Brooks stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Oooh a lovely combination from Brooks sends Blaze down but not out. Brooks dives into side control looking to finish.
It looks like Al Blaze has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blaze misses with a strike from the bottom. Brooks trying to control the position but Blaze is working away. Blaze taking punishment in the form of punches.
You can see the frustration on Blaze's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Blaze manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brooks's best efforts. Blaze avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Brooks. Brooks is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Brooks missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Blaze works his way to full guard. Good work. Blaze has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brooks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Blaze lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brooks! Blaze has hold of Brooks's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Brooks manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Blaze is landing with some decent strikes but Brooks is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Blaze is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brooks to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brooks shrugs it off. Brooks is desperately trying to improve his position but Blaze has a good base and remains in mount. Blaze is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Brooks has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Brooks! Blaze looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blaze is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brooks lands a couple of digs. Blaze isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Brooks stacks Blaze on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Brooks! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Brooks landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Blaze tries to bench press Brooks off him but Brooks keeps the position. Brooks goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Blaze has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Brooks but great work by Blaze. Blaze has hold of Brooks's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Brooks tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Blaze cranks the arm and Brooks screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Brooks, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
