Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Boaventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jhonatan Faust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jhonatan Faust enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boaventura throws a wild body kick that Faust sees coming a mile off.
Faust throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Boaventura fails with an attempt to clinch.
Faust has Boaventura up against the cage in a clinch.
Boaventura is trying to break the clinch but Faust is controlling him.
Faust breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Faust shoots in but no luck this time.
Faust is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boaventura sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Faust counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Faust is trying to drag Boaventura to the mat but Boaventura just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

and Faust counters with a straight right hand.
Boaventura tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Faust counters with a series of strikes. Boaventura will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Faust counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Faust.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boaventura is looking to stand up but Faust isn't so interested in that idea.
Boaventura has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Faust off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Faust looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Faust shoots in for a takedown but Boaventura shows good takedown defense.

so Faust counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boaventura wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Faust manages to pass to side control.
Boaventura pushes Faust off looking to stand but Faust dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Faust seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Boaventura is looking to escape.
Faust wants to control but Boaventura is keeping him busy.

Faust shoots in for a takedown but Boaventura shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Boaventura stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Boaventura wants it to stay on the feet.

Boaventura wants to get up but he can't break Faust's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
