Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julian Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Alekseev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valdez's entrance music is so amazing. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julian Valdez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Max Alekseev! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Alekseev with that takedown attempt. Valdez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Alekseev to the mat! Alekseev manages to get full guard. Valdez is looking to work some ground and pound but Alekseev has wrist control. Valdez working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Valdez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Alekseev works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Valdez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Alekseev wants to stand and escape but Valdez is having none of it. Valdez throws and elbow that misses. Alekseev uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Valdez's guard. Nice move by Alekseev! Valdez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Alekseev passes into side control.
Valdez taking a bit of punishment here - Alekseev scoring with strikes. Valdez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Valdez sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Alekseev is trying to control the action in half guard but Valdez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Alekseev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valdez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Valdez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Alekseev lands strikes from half guard. Alekseev scoring with strikes to the body and head. Alekseev wants to lay and pray for a moment but Valdez keeps working. Valdez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Valdez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Valdez has hold of Alekseev's hands but Alekseev slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Alekseev is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Valdez defends it well. Alekseev is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Valdez has his foot on Alekseev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alekseev works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alekseev drops back looking for a leg! Valdez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Valdez manages to kick Alekseev off! Alekseev jumps back into Valdez's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Valdez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alekseev defends well. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alekseev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Valdez keeping moving, preventing Alekseev from controlling successfully. Alekseev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Alekseev is posturing up here but Valdez has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Alekseev tries to roll out but it's too tight and Alekseev has to tap! Slick submission there by Valdez!
