Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pops circles away quickly and effectively.
Davis lands with a slapping head kick.
Davis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davis wants it to stay on the feet.
Pops fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Davis throws a series of strikes that have Pops backpedaling.

Davis has closed the distance and engaged Pops in a clinch.
Davis prevents the takedown attempt.
Joe Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fish Pops.

Davis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Davis throws a right hand that Pops ducks under and follows up with a left that Pops also avoids with ease.

Pops tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pops struggles to land a body shot inside as Davis controls his hands.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davis gets through Pops's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Pops tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Davis's elbow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pops takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Davis lands with a hook. Pops tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Pops jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Davis walks away with a smile on his face. Pops gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Davis clinches up with Pops and pushes him back against the cage.
Davis cracks Pops with a nice body shot.

Pops tries to pull guard but Davis holds him up against the cage and eventually Pops drops back down to his feet.

Davis lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pops tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Pops trying to hold on to Davis's head to control him but Davis postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Davis is going to stand back up.
Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pops on the ground.

Davis decides to stand and escape the position.
Davis lands with a kick to the ribs.
Davis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Davis!

Davis gets a clinch.

Davis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davis listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Davis closes the distance and clinches.
Davis keeps control of Pops as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Davis works on Pops's body with a couple of short punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pops is trying desperately to land a takedown but Davis is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pops.
