Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Pascal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JOHN CENA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pascal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around CENA's waist but CENA gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pascal off to one side.
CENA lands a high kick!
CENA has Pascal up against the cage in a clinch.
CENA letting Pascal take a breather here.

CENA breaks the clinch.
CENA connects with a high kick.
CENA gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pascal goes for a takedown attempt but CENA pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Pascal moves in looking to clinch but CENA pushes him off.
CENA looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
CENA doesn't manage to clinch there - Pascal circles away.

and CENA counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by CENA.

Pascal jumps guard and drags CENA to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

CENA forces his way into half guard.
Pascal is looking for a sweep. CENA is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
CENA is looking to stall here but Pascal recovers full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
CENA postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
CENA decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Pascal dives in and grabs CENA's left leg, looking for a takedown. CENA pushes down on Pascal's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Pascal. That's going to take a lot out of him.

CENA is looking to take a break and control but Pascal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

CENA trying to control the position from guard on top but Pascal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pascal tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pascal is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
CENA wants to get up but he can't break Pascal's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
CENA changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pascal looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pascal is looking to regain half guard here but CENA keeps moving and retains side control.
CENA has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
JOHN CENA dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Pascal displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from CENA.
CENA decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
CENA wants to stand up but Pascal is controlling the position.
Pascal desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Pascal wants to control but CENA is keeping busy and won't allow it.
CENA tries to stand but can't do so whilst Pascal controls his leg.

CENA wants to take a breather but Pascal is having none of it.
Pascal is looking to control CENA's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pascal avoid being mounted?
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Pascal wants to clinch but CENA slips to the side
and CENA counters with a head kick.
CENA stuffs the takedown.

and Pascal counters with a nice double leg into side control. CENA won't be happy with that.
CENA tries to control but Pascal manages to take his back.

Pascal is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
A lull in the action here.
CENA trying to control the hands but Pascal won't let him.
Pascal controlling the position well here. CENA rolled but Pascal kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
I really don't envy CENA right now.

Pascal gets his hands free as CENA looks to control.
CENA preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Pascal.
Pascal lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Pascal.
CENA tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
CENA tries to hold on but Pascal pushes him away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
CENA is in a horrible position here. Pascal smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pascal blocks CENA's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
CENA is working to get back to half guard.
Pascal get's back to his feet.
CENA tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
CENA tries to clinch up but Pascal circles away and keeps his distance.
Pascal smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
CENA leaves Pascal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Pascal dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
CENA closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pascal counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for CENA!
CENA tries to reverse the position but Pascal maintains control.
CENA tries to hold on but Pascal pushes him away.
Pascal wants to control the pace but CENA is squirming around nicely.
CENA gets back to half guard.
Andrew Pascal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pascal thows a huge punch but CENA dodges it nicely.

Pascal goes for an armbar but CENA turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from CENA.

CENA is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pascal has managed to free his arm - good work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pascal throws a sloppy head kick
and CENA counters by clinching up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Pascal wants to break free but CENA has control.
CENA misses with a knee to the head.
CENA fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pascal is pushing CENA up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
CENA tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pascal lands a body shot.
CENA breaks the clinch.
Pascal closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
CENA wants to improve his position but Pascal is controlling well.

CENA tries to roll over but Pascal keeps him under control.

Andrew Pascal showed his dominance in that final round.
