Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Cobalt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carl Cobalt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carl Cobalt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Parker! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cobalt is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cobalt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cobalt moves into the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Parker lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
It looks like Carl Cobalt has been cut. Parker has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cobalt is trying to keep an underhook but Parker manages to get the takedown into half guard. Cobalt wants to control but Parker is keeping busy.
Parker moves nicely into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cobalt takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Cobalt can't do much from the bottom here. You can see the frustration on Cobalt's face as Parker controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker working the body and head with strikes. Cobalt taking punishment in the form of punches.
Parker scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cobalt to see if he's OK. Parker landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parker just content to control the position. Parker lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Parker taking a breather here. That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Cobalt is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Cobalt is breathing heavily. Parker takes a little break here. Cobalt wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bob Parker. Parker waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Cobalt. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Cobalt to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Cobalt is rocked! Parker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Cobalt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parker on the ground. Cobalt has momentary wrist control but Parker slips an elbow through the middle. Parker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Parker trying to control but Cobalt is working from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Parker's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cobalt trying to keep a closed guard but Parker is proving a slippery customer.
Parker drops back looking for a leg! Cobalt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cobalt manages to kick Parker off! Parker jumps back into Cobalt's guard. Parker's corner is telling him to maintain position. Parker trying to control the position from guard on top but Cobalt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cobalt looking for a sweep. Not yet Cobalt, not yet. Cobalt can't keep his opponent in guard - Parker advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Parker is trying to control. Cobalt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Parker looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Parker wants to control but Cobalt is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker scoring with strikes to the body and head. Cobalt missing with punches from the bottom.
Cobalt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Parker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Parker prevents Cobalt from standing back up.

Cobalt is not content to let Parker control the position. Cobalt is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Parker scores with a couple of nice shots. Parker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cobalt trying to control but Parker postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Parker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Carl Cobalt's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Parker clinches. Parker lands a left hand.
Parker has clasped his hands together around Cobalt's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Cobalt on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Parker wants to control but Cobalt is keeping him busy. Parker lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Parker is working Cobalt over with some ground and pound from side control. Parker lands an elbow. Parker working the ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Parker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cobalt, who protects the arm well. Cobalt takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Cobalt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. You can see the frustration on Cobalt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cobalt some visible discomfort.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Parker wants to control but Cobalt is keeping him busy. Cobalt on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Parker lands some shots froms side control. Parker working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parker working the ground and pound. Parker grinds an elbow into Cobalt's temple. Parker controls the position. Parker is chipping away with strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cobalt is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Parker controlling from side mount. Parker lands a decent elbow from side control. Cobalt throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Parker lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cobalt down.
