Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Doze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Doze might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "Don't Trust Me" by 3Oh!3. Jackson has chosen wolf pack as his entrance music. Denton Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Doze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Jackson. No joy for Doze on that attempt.

Doze shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Doze showed some decent athleticism there.
Doze seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Doze sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jackson wants to free his trapped foot but Doze is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Doze tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control.
Doze won't allow Jackson to pass to mount.

Jackson is working for a submission of some sort.
Jackson is tying to control. Doze wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Doze has hold of Jackson's hands but Jackson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Jackson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jackson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Doze looks a forlorn figure.

Jackson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Doze is now in Jackson's guard. A big mistake from Jackson there, giving up the dominant position!

Doze bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Doze has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Doze ducks down to avoid it.
Doze tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Doze counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jackson throws an overhand right that lands on Doze's shoulder, as Doze tries to avoid the shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Doze will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Doze makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Doze shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jackson shoots in but Doze avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Doze tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.

Jackson throws a hook but Doze blocks it.

and Doze counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Doze.

and Doze counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that.
Doze wants to stand but Jackson has his arm trapped.
Jackson tries to improve position but can't.
Jackson sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Jackson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Doze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Doze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
