PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nolan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juvintude DeNomee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett comes into the arena with Bad To the Bone blaring out of the sound system. DeNomee has chosen I'm country as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nolan Sackett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juvintude DeNomee!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
DeNomee tries for a takedown but Sackett circles away easily
and Sackett counters with a right hand to the body.

and Sackett counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
DeNomee can't keep his opponent in guard - Sackett advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sackett seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but DeNomee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sackett slips a nice elbow through DeNomee's hands, connecting with DeNomee's forehead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Still in half guard, Sackett seems content to control.
Sackett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DeNomee's head.
Sackett lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Sackett thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sackett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
DeNomee wants to get back to his feet.
Ground and pound from Sackett.
Sackett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DeNomee's head.
Sackett is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Sackett lands a nice shot to the head.
DeNomee looks gassed!
Sackett looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.


DeNomee is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sackett loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have DeNomee scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Sackett land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Sackett stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nolan Sackett!
