Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Lilke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that David Brown has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily David Brown seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lilke throws a quick inside leg kick. Brown gets in close and instigates a clinch. Brown tries to pull guard but Lilke won't allow it.
A right handed body shot lands from Lilke.
Lilke has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brown is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Brown has Lilke pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lilke manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Brown pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Brown leaves Lilke with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lilke throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Lilke sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lilke shoots and misses and Brown counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brown pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lilke is keeping the position for now. Brown being controlled here momentarily. Lilke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brown doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brown manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Lilke controls Brown momentarily but Brown frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lilke swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Brown. Lilke looks for a takedown but Brown sprawls well. Lilke misses with a takedown attempt and Brown counters by clinching up. Lilke manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Brown trying to control but Lilke is working from the bottom. Lilke is trying to keep Brown in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown thows a body shot but no joy. Lilke throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Brown. Lilke stuffs the takedown. Brown is breathing heavily. Lilke closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lilke gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Brown lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Lilke wants a takedown but no success here.

Lilke is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Brown tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Lilke gets control of Brown's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lilke will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Lilke keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully. Brown might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown advances position into side control! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lilke is trying to control Brown's posture but Brown avoids it. Brown tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that David Brown will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Brown shoots in but no luck this time. Lilke pushes Brown up against the cage in a clinch. Brown tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lilke wants a takedown but no success here.

Lilke is looking for a triangle but Brown pushes his legs off easily.
Lilke lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brown! Lilke content just to control the position here. Brown on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brown tries to get out of the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brown is squirming around, avoiding Lilke's attempts to control the action. Brown is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Brown wants to control but Lilke is having none of it. Brown regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nice strikes from Lilke there. Lilke keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Lilke stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Lilke with a poor takedown and Brown decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lilke's guard. Lilke kicks Brown off and gets to his feet. Lilke throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jab from Lilke. Lilke slaps away a takedown attempt from Brown, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lilke looks to land a combination. Brown sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Lilke shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lilke plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Lilke misses with a head kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Lilke stalling the fight.
Brown wants to break free but Lilke has control.

Lilke gets control of Brown's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lilke will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. David Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brown trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lilke's guard. Lilke is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brown wants to get back to full guard. Lilke is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brown doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lilke. Lilke is trying to control the action in half guard but Brown is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Lilke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Nice uppercut lands for Lilke. That snapped Brown's head back.
Brown steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lilke. That one must have hurt. Lilke clinches up against the cage. Lilke manages to break the clinch.
Brown looks to clinch and Lilke counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lilke. Brown tries to score a body lock takedown but Lilke shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Lilke is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Brown gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A bit of stalling here from Lilke.

David Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Lilke. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lilke tries to pull guard but Brown holds him up against the cage and eventually Lilke drops back down to his feet.
Lilke tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brown smiles and moves away.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lilke as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown throws a leg kick but Lilke checks it. Lilke with a lazy takedown attempt and Brown counters with a nice double leg into guard. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Lilke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown stopping the sweep attempt from Lilke. Brown wants to stand but Lilke has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown looking to pass the guard. Brown preventing the sweep. Lilke has control of Brown's left arm, preventing Brown from doing any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lilke tries for a takedown but Brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lilke gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Brown counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lilke's guard now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lilke scrambles and gets back to his feet.

David Brown has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Lilke looks to land a combination. Brown sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A head kick from Lilke lands but Brown takes it in his stride. Lilke is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Lilke misses with a takedown and Brown counters with a flying knee. Nice. Lilke thuds a left hand into Brown's body. David Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lilke throws a series of strikes that have Brown backpedaling.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lilke moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off. Lilke shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brown defends it nicely. Brown shoots in for a double leg but Lilke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And that's the end of the fight! David Brown showed his dominance in that final round. I think Brown has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
