The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rosa thumps Akiyra with a low kick.
Rosa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rosa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Akiyra's waist but Akiyra gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rosa off to one side.
Rosa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Akiyra as he jumps to the side.

Rosa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rosa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rosa showed some decent athleticism there.
Akiyra has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Rosa. Oh but Akiyra has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Rosa goes limp - he's gone! Akiyra jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
