19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gorge Jurgel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, George Tappin! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jurgel catches Tappin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jurgel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tappin did well to prevent Jurgel getting side control. Tappin has hold of Jurgel's hands but Jurgel slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jurgel throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Tappin looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jurgel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tappin sees it coming and defends easily. Jurgel is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tappin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jurgel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tappin misses with a takedown attempt and Jurgel counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Tappin taking some punishment here, with Jurgel in his half guard. Nice strikes from Jurgel there. Jurgel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jurgel thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jurgel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tappin defends it well. Tappin is not content to let Jurgel control the position. Jurgel scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Tappin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jurgel pulls his head out easily. Tappin looks gassed! Jurgel not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Jurgel there. Jurgel is working for a submission of some sort.
Tappin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jurgel is trying to control the action in half guard but Tappin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jurgel takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Tappin on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jurgel is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! This has been an exciting period of action! Jurgel working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Jurgel swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
