Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeca Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juliano Farias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zeca Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juliano Farias! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Farias's half guard. Farias trying to control but Diaz postures up.
Farias wants to improve his position but Diaz is controlling well.
Farias makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Diaz clinches up against the cage. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Farias should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Farias jumps into guard, dragging Diaz to the mat.
Farias is trying to control the position but Diaz postures up. Diaz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Farias is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Farias trying to keep a closed guard but Diaz is proving a slippery customer.
Diaz gets to his feet - Farias follows without any prompting. Farias with a lazy takedown attempt and Diaz moves into the clinch. Diaz wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Diaz wants a takedown but no success here.

He shot from a bit too far out. Farias closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Diaz keeps Farias under control for a moment. Diaz sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Diaz trying to control from the bottom.
Farias wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diaz keeps working. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Farias working over Diaz with some ground and pound. Diaz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Zeca Diaz will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Diaz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Farias, pushing him back against the cage. Diaz wants a takedown.

Farias shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Farias is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Farias stands up from guard. Let's bang! Farias misses with a takedown and Diaz counters with a nice double leg into guard. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Diaz walks into a straight right hand from Farias. Diaz with a poor takedown and Farias finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Diaz tries to clinch but Farias is having none of it. Farias closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage. Farias breaks the clinch.
Diaz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Farias's guard. Diaz wanted to stand there but Farias had control of the position. Farias wants to get back to his feet but Diaz passes into half guard.

Zeca Diaz dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Farias is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Diaz dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Farias holds on, trying desperately to control. Diaz unloading with bombs! Diaz looking to control and managing it successfully. Diaz with good strikes from the mount here!

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Diaz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Diaz!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Farias seems a little lost for a moment, as Diaz dominates the positioning. Diaz in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. And that's the end of the fight! Zeca Diaz showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Diaz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
