Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruce Leberwitz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leberwitz drives through with a takedown into guard.
Esinahka is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Esinahka is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Esinahka wants to free his trapped foot but Leberwitz is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Leberwitz makes his way to full guard, as Esinahka worked for a kimura.
Leberwitz is trying to keep Esinahka in close.
Leberwitz wants to stand up but Esinahka is controlling him.

Leberwitz has his feet on Esinahka's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Esinahka fails with the takedown
and Leberwitz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Esinahka tries for a takedown but Leberwitz circles away easily

and Leberwitz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Esinahka looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Esinahka is breathing heavily.
Leberwitz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Esinahka working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Leberwitz has passed into half guard!

Leberwitz stands up out of the half guard.
Esinahka with a poor takedown

and Leberwitz counters with a single leg into guard. Esinahka didn't expect that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erkki Esinahka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leberwitz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Esinahka is proving hard to escape from.

Esinahka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leberwitz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leberwitz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Esinahka tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Esinahka lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Leberwitz!
Leberwitz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Esinahka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Esinahka is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Leberwitz has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Leberwitz!

Esinahka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Esinahka keeping moving, preventing Leberwitz from controlling successfully.

Leberwitz is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Esinahka has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Leberwitz is looking to defend but Esinahka has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Leberwitz! Esinahka pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Leberwitz taps out and this one is all over!
