Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luke Jones looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Miller! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Miller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Alex Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Miller which made him look bad. Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Miller drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jones blocking the ground and pound attempt from Miller. Miller working over Jones with some ground and pound. Jones looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. Miller trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones works his way to full guard. Good work. Jones is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position. Miller stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position. Miller pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miller gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Miller clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage. Miller blocks a body shot from Jones. Miller drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.
Miller throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jones wants to control but Miller is keeping busy.
Miller wants to pass to mount but Jones is defending the position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jones on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Miller content to control rather than advance. Jones is staying active underneath Miller, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Miller doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Miller misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jones closes the distance looking to clinch and Miller counters by clinching up. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Miller fails with the takedown. Jones tries to clinch up. Jones tries for a takedown but Miller circles away easily so Miller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. Miller stops Jones from standing up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Miller's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jones keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Miller dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jones shoots and misses and Miller counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Miller is controlling him. Miller slips nicely into half guard. Jones wants to control but Miller is keeping busy and won't allow it. Miller passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones! Miller controlling from the full mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Miller jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jones manages to avoid the submission attempt. Jones is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Miller's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Miller is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position. Jones wants to sweep but Miller has passed to side control! Miller is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jones is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Miller just content to control the position. Miller has knee on belly and moves into mount. Miller landing strikes from the mount and Jones is in trouble!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing hammer fists to the chest of Miller. What's that going to do exactly? Miller raining down shots from the mount! Miller sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Miller trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Jones tries to hold on but Miller postures up. Miller is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones working to try and regain half guard.
Miller is landing with some decent strikes but Jones is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Miller trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Jones is looking to improve his position but Miller isn't that keen on the idea. Jones tries to hold on but Miller postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Miller can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape. Alex Miller has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Miller gets a clinch. Miller is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks. Miller wants to break free but Jones has control.
Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones with a poor takedown and Miller counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Miller. Jones wants to stand up but Miller is controlling him. Miller slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Miller won't allow Jones to sweep him here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Miller controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller chips away with some ground and pound. Miller controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Jones keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully. Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Miller drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Miller working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Miller has wrist control. Jones prevents Miller from getting back to his feet. Jones looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Miller is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones tries to score a body lock takedown but Miller shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Miller has picked Jones up - he's going for a ride! Miller dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Miller is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position. Miller seems to be working for a kimura but Jones defends the submission attempt. Miller looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Luke Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Alex Miller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones misses with some strikes from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Alex Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
