Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryant Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Paelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bryant Ward! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ethan Paelin! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward with a nice cross. Paelin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Paelin takes the fight into the clinch. Ward struggles to land a body shot inside as Paelin controls his hands.
Paelin tries for a takedown. No joy.
Ward is trying to break the clinch but Paelin has him pressed against the cage. Paelin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ward wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ward is pushing Paelin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Paelin has Ward pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Paelin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ward tumbling to the mat - Paelin dives into Ward's guard. Paelin trying to control the position from guard on top but Ward is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Paelin wants to pass the guard but Ward is keeping the position. Ward looking to control.
Paelin trying to control but Ward is working from the bottom. Ward is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Paelin defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ward avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ward is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ward keeping moving, preventing Paelin from controlling successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ward moves away from the strike by Paelin. Ward comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Paelin walks into a left hand. Paelin looks gassed! Paelin is looking to clinch. Paelin wants to clinch up but Ward keeps it at a distance. Ward lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Ethan Paelin has been cut. Ward is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ward scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paelin walks straight into a right hand from Ward - that's dropped him! Ward jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Paelin from any more punishment! Paelin complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bryant Ward!
