Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josh Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Carter!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carter wants it to stay on the feet.

Carter clinches up with Taylor and pushes him back against the cage.
Carter tries to break free but Taylor pushes him back against the cage.

Carter is fighting off a takedown attempt but Taylor is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Carter to the mat. Carter regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Carter has his hands on Taylor's head, controlling the position.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carter lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Taylor has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Taylor and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Taylor shoots in looking for a takedown. Carter tries to sprawl out of it but Taylor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Josh Taylor.
