The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bernie is looking to clinch but Jonson is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bernie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jonson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bernie circles away quickly and effectively.
Jonson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bernie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jonson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jonson throws a right hand that Bernie ducks under and follows up with a left that Bernie also avoids with ease.
Bernie moves in looking to clinch but Jonson pushes him off.
Bernie tries to close the distance and clinch but Jonson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jonson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jonson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jonson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jonson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bernie wants to clinch up but Jonson keeps it at a distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bernie misses with a wild combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Jonson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Jonson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bernie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bernie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jonson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bernie sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jonson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The strikes coming from Bernie are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Jonson is pushing Bernie's head away, looking to escape. Bernie manages to hold on to the position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bernie throws a strike aimed at the side of Jonson's head but Jonson avoids it well.
Jonson tries to escape but Bernie is in control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bernie is working Jonson over with some ground and pound from side control.

Bernie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Jonson wants to get back to his feet.

Bernie thowing shots but they're missing.
Bernie won't let Jonson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bernie with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jonson can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight!
Bryan Bernie showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bernie has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
