PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otis Redding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Otis Redding struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith tries to clinch there but Redding circles away.
Redding moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

and Redding counters with a left and a right that stings Smith.
Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Redding.

and Smith counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith wants to take a breather but Redding is having none of it.
Smith throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Smith landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Redding counters by moving into the clinch.
Smith is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Redding pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Smith is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
