Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gethen Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franek Polel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Gethen Griffin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gethen Griffin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Franek Polel! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin throws a head kick that misses. Polel fails with a takedown attempt. Griffin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Polel takes the fight into the clinch. Polel blocks the elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griffin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Polel smiles and moves away.
Polel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Griffin wants it to stay on the feet. Gethen Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franek Polel. Polel slips a jab and a cross from Griffin.
Gethen Griffin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Polel gets the takedown into side control. Griffin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Polel has just dragged him back down to the mat. Polel has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Griffin! Griffin is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Polel pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Griffin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Polel thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Polel jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Griffin manages to avoid the submission attempt. Polel stands up and we're back to a striking position. Polel shoots in and drives through. Griffin sprawls well. Polel looks to score with a jab to the body but Griffin is just out of range. Griffin throws a head kick that Polel semi-blocks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Griffin throws a push kick but Polel slaps the foot to one side. Polel shoots in but Griffin avoids the takedown attempt easily. Polel takes a swing at Griffin's ribcage but misses. Griffin keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Griffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Griffin wants it to stay on the feet. Polel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Griffin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Polel throws a strike aimed at the side of Griffin's head but Griffin avoids it well. Griffin defending against the ground and pound. Griffin wants to get back to his feet but Polel is dominant here and he's now got Griffin's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griffin is trying to stand back up. Griffin is breathing heavily. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Polel's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Polel looking to break Griffin's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Griffin remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Polel will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Griffin trying to get back to his feet but Polel is in full control for now. Polel has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Griffin has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Franek Polel dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Polel moves in looking to clinch but Griffin pushes him off. Griffin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Polel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Griffin manages to avoid it. Polel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Polel is pressing down on Griffin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Griffin is holding on for now. Polel stops Griffin from getting back to his feet.
Polel is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Griffin throws a sloppy head kick and Polel moves out of range easily. Polel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Griffin has had enough of the clinch but Polel keeps him there for the moment. Polel breaks the clinch.
Griffin throws a nice looking combination but Polel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Polel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Griffin wants to stand and escape but Polel is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Polel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Griffin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Polel looking to pass the guard. Griffin keeping moving, preventing Polel from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Polel lands a couple of digs. Polel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Griffin's head. Polel tries to free his leg and advance position but Griffin is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Polel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but Polel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Griffin throws a sloppy head kick and Polel moves out of range easily. Gethen Griffin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Griffin looks for the body kick but Polel saw that one coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Polel tries to clinch up but Griffin circles away and keeps his distance. Polel tries for a takedown but Griffin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Polel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Griffin is fending him off so far but Polel persists. Nope, Griffin circles away and we're back to standing. Gethen Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franek Polel. Griffin bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Griffin connects with a high kick. Polel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franek Polel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Griffin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Gethen Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franek Polel. Griffin keeps the fight on the outside. Griffin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Polel takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Polel fails in his attempt to clinch. Polel wants to clinch. Franek Polel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Polel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Griffin did well to prevent Polel getting side control. Griffin is trying to stand back up but Polel is controlling him

Polel is trying to control the action in half guard but Griffin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Polel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Griffin pushes Polel off looking to stand but Polel dives back in and keeps control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Griffin is staying active underneath Polel, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Gethen Griffin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Griffin missing with punches from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Franek Polel. I've got Polel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
