Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Dickinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Rin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dickinson's entrance music is Harvester of Sorrow. A fine choice. Dave Dickinson had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Dickinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lou Rin! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Rin misses. Rin moves in looking to clinch but Dickinson pushes him off. Dickinson shoots in looking for a takedown. Rin tries to sprawl out of it but Dickinson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dickinson fails with a takedown attempt. Dickinson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dickinson lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Rin keeping moving, preventing Dickinson from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rin has his hands on Dickinson's head, controlling the position. Rin keeping full guard, as Dickinson tries to pass. Rin is adopting a defensive guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dickinson swats him away and circles back towards the center. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dickinson is defended easily by Rin. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Dickinson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rin is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rin has closed the distance and engaged Dickinson in a clinch.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lou Rin was stalling too much, according to the referee. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dickinson. Rin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dickinson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dickinson has a takedown stuffed. Dickinson is breathing heavily. Rin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dickinson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rin will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dickinson up against the cage. Dickinson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Dickinson doesn't have the hooks in and Rin manages to turn into his guard.
Rin is stalling in the full guard. Rin trying to control the position from guard on top but Dickinson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dave Dickinson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Rin is looking to clinch. Rin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dickinson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dickinson blocks a low kick nicely. Dickinson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The fight stays on the outside here - Rin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Excellent takedown into side control there by Dickinson. Rin is trying to control Dickinson's posture but Dickinson avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rin stops Dickinson from passing to mount. Rin tries to bench press Dickinson off him but Dickinson keeps the position. Dickinson throwing shots but missing, from side control. Rin is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dickinson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rin has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rin is trying to work for a sweep but Dickinson has mounted him! Rin wants to hold on but Dickinson pushes him away. Dickinson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rin has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Rin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dickinson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Rin sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Rin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dickinson is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickinson tries to pass to full mount but Rin defends it. Rin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dickinson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dickinson's back! Rin tries to get the hooks in deep but Dickinson pushed the leg off. Rin throwing wild punches that miss their target. Rin lands a shot to the head. Rin wants to control but Dickinson is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rin is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Rin throws a series of strikes and Dickinson wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here. Rin lands a big shot there that rocks Dickinson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Rin tries to control but Dickinson wriggling away. Dickinson taking shots to the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dickinson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dave Dickinson will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Rin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dickinson just stands there and leans against the cage. Dickinson pulls guard effortlessly. Dickinson keeping moving, preventing Rin from controlling successfully. Rin is pushing down on Dickinson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dickinson is fighting to maintain full guard but Rin has managed to sneak the leg through. Rin wants to free his trapped foot but Dickinson is holding on for dear life with his legs. Rin trying to control the pace. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dickinson tries to roll over but Rin keeps him under control. Rin thows a huge punch but Dickinson dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dickinson is not content to let Rin control the position. Rin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Lou Rin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Rin closes the distance and clinches. Rin doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Rin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dickinson smiles and moves away.
Rin looks to score with a jab to the body but Dickinson is just out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rin tries to clinch up. Dave Dickinson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rin with a hook. Rin is looking to clinch but Dickinson is avoiding it.
Dickinson keeps the fight on the outside. Lou Rin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dickinson has a takedown stuffed. Dickinson keeps the fight on the outside.

Dave Dickinson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dave Dickinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lou Rin. Dickinson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Dickinson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rin working a defensive guard here.
Lou Rin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Dickinson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dickinson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
