Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by Manowar - Warriors of the World. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kevin James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James tries to clinch up.
Jones jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
James smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Jones takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Jimmy Jones has been cut.
James's corner calls for a 1-2. James obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jones looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time.
James has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.
James wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are battling for position here. James manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. James swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones won't allow James to sweep him here.

It looks like Kevin James has been cut.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

James controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it.
Jones stands up over James, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Jones lands a couple of elbows.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones passes James's left leg - he's now in half guard.
James is breathing heavily.
Jones thows a huge punch but James dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks James with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Jones works his foot free and advances to mount.
Jones loads up with a big shot that hurts James! He's pulled Jones in close but Jones has postured up and lands more strikes. Can James survive? More strikes from Jones and James is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
