The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from St Pierre.
St Pierre shoots in and drives through. Wilder sprawls well.
St Pierre throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wilder was covering up waiting for the punch and St Pierre finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wilder keeping moving, preventing St Pierre from controlling successfully.
Wilder wants to stand up but St Pierre is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as St Pierre accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
St Pierre has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
St Pierre postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wilder is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of St Pierre, into his guard.
St Pierre manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wilder manages to get himself to full guard.
Wilder wants to stand up but St Pierre is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

St Pierre tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilder is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
St Pierre wants to control from the top but Wilder keeps moving.
St Pierre thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

St Pierre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wilder defends it easily.

St Pierre fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
St Pierre shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wilder napping and manages to drive through into side control!
St Pierre tries to advance to mount but Wilder denies him.

St Pierre swings around for an armbar but Wilder sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into St Pierre's guard.
St Pierre throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wilder escapes and throws St Pierre's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Wilder decides to stand back up.
St Pierre closes the distance and clinches up with Wilder, looking for a takedown. St Pierre pushes Wilder against the cage but Wilder circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George St Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.

St Pierre walks into a stiff left hand from Wilder.
Wilder lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wilder lands a nice shot that snaps St Pierre's head back.
St Pierre fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wilder avoids it really well and circles away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wilder lunges at St Pierre with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by St Pierre's hand.

Wilder stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wilder lands with a shot to the body.
St Pierre is breathing heavily.

Wilder lands a glancing blow to the side of St Pierre's head.
Wilder lands an overhand right.
George St Pierre's cut is getting worse.
Wilder bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of St Pierre's head.
St Pierre is rocked!
St Pierre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wilder pinned against the cage. Wilder gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wilder lands with a hook. St Pierre tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Oh St Pierre is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wilder lands with a big right hook that stumbles St Pierre - he's out on his feet here! Wilder follows up with another monster hook that separates St Pierre from consciousness! St Pierre falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Wilder stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
