Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Remy Bonjasky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Primozh Petrovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Primozh Petrovich struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Remy Bonjasky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Primozh Petrovich! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrovich lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bonjasky circles away quickly and effectively. Bonjasky attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Petrovich closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bonjasky circles away. Bonjasky closes the distance and lands a one-two. Bonjasky circles away from the clinch attempt.
Petrovich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bonjasky tries to avoid it but Petrovich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bonjasky to the ground. Bonjasky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Petrovich tries to close the distance and clinch but Bonjasky swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bonjasky shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bonjasky was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bonjasky prevents Petrovich from getting the reversal. Petrovich wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Bonjasky has the hooks in. Petrovich is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Petrovich looks gassed! Bonjasky biding his time, looking for the opening.
Bonjasky lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Petrovich is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bonjasky slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is taking a good look at Petrovich as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Bonjasky!
Petrovich is really stuck here.
Petrovich is trying to roll into a better position but Bonjasky has get a rear naked choke and Petrovich is forced to tap out! This one is allllll over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Remy Bonjasky!
