Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Justin Carmichael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Weddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carmichael comes to the cage accompanied by Biggie Smalls - Kick in the Door . Weddle has chosen remember the name - fort minor as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Carmichael!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wes Weddle!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weddle throws a leg kick that misses.
Carmichael is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Weddle thows a body shot but no joy.
Carmichael misses with a kick to the body.
Weddle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carmichael sprawls well. Carmichael wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Weddle gets slowly back to his feet.
Weddle misses with a takedown attempt - Carmichael sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Weddle tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Carmichael counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Weddle is defended easily by Carmichael.
Justin Carmichael has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wes Weddle.
Carmichael stuffs the takedown attempt from Weddle. Weddle gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carmichael looks to score with a jab to the body but Weddle is just out of range.
Carmichael circles away from the clinch attempt
and Carmichael counters with a head kick. That will keep Weddle thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Weddle misses with a combination
and Carmichael makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Carmichael throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Weddle stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Carmichael moves out of range of the strikes.
Carmichael throws a nice outside leg kick.
A combination from Weddle does no damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Weddle walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Carmichael lands a jab to the nose.
Weddle shoots in for a takedown but Carmichael shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Carmichael thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Weddle if he has to take too many more of those.
Weddle looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Weddle crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Carmichael - the referee stops the clock and Weddle gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Carmichael. Weddle manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Carmichael plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Wes Weddle has been cut.
Weddle shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carmichael defends it nicely.
Nice uppercut lands for Carmichael. That snapped Weddle's head back.
Carmichael scores with a punch to the head.
Weddle tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Weddle on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Carmichael. Carmichael obviously looking to wear him down.
Carmichael moves into the clinch.
Carmichael breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Carmichael lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Carmichael.
Weddle is rocked!
A thudding body kick lands there by Carmichael!
Weddle is still on wobbly legs! Can Carmichael finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carmichael fakes the body blow, causing Weddle to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Weddle goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Justin Carmichael!
