Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ransom Metz JR (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KC Raul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ransom Metz JR! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, KC Raul! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raul closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Metz JR goes for a takedown attempt but Raul pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Raul is looking to clinch. Raul wants to clinch. Raul tries to close the distance and clinch but Metz JR swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Metz JR shoots in for a double leg but Raul sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Raul moves in looking to clinch but Metz JR pushes him off. Raul stuffs the takedown attempt from Metz JR. Metz JR gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ransom Metz JR. That's going to take a lot out of him. Raul defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Metz JR. Raul stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Raul wants it to stay on the feet. Metz JR is breathing heavily. Raul slaps away a takedown attempt from Metz JR, before circling back to the center of the mat. Raul takes the fight into the clinch. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Metz JR has a takedown stuffed. Ransom Metz JR seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Metz JR gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Raul to score an easy takedown into full guard. Metz JR is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raul stands up and waves to Metz JR to follow him. Metz JR swats away the attempt to clinch by Raul. Metz JR circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Metz JR shoots and misses and Raul counters with a shoot takedown. Metz JR fights it but they end up in guard. Raul has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Metz JR is proving hard to escape from. Metz JR is working an open guard so Raul takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Raul moves into the clinch. Metz JR fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Raul has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Metz JR regains guard immediately. Metz JR utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Raul tries to stand but Metz JR is controlling from the bottom. Raul must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Raul stands up and waves to Metz JR to follow him. Raul is looking to clinch. Metz JR avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Raul tries to clinch up but Metz JR circles away and keeps his distance. Metz JR tries for a takedown but Raul circles away easily and Raul counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Raul. Raul tries to stand but Metz JR is controlling from the bottom. Raul connects with a couple of short punches. Raul wanted to stand there but Metz JR had control of the position. Metz JR not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raul has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Metz JR is proving hard to escape from. Metz JR trying to keep a closed guard but Raul is proving a slippery customer.
Raul decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Metz JR, up you get! Metz JR swats away the attempt to clinch by Raul. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Raul darts in and clinches Metz JR up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raul is fighting off a takedown attempt but Metz JR is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Raul to the mat. Raul regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Metz JR loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Raul wants to sweep here but Metz JR controlling him for the moment. Metz JR trying to control but Raul is working from the bottom. Metz JR is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Raul is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Raul wants to stand and escape but Metz JR is having none of it.

Metz JR was covering up waiting for the punch and Raul finishes the takedown easily into guard. Raul wanted to stand there but Metz JR had control of the position. Raul throwing strikes from guard but Metz JR blocks nicely. Metz JR is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Raul is aware though and is defending well. KC Raul showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Raul doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Raul manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Raul trying to stand up but can't free himself from Metz JR's guard. Metz JR escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Raul gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Raul gets to his feet - Metz JR follows without any prompting. Metz JR with a poor takedown and Raul counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Metz JR looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Metz JR regains full guard. Nicely done.

He catches Raul napping and manages to drive through into side control! KC Raul has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Metz JR tries to score with some ground and pound. Raul controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Metz JR working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Metz JR is looking to take a break and control but Raul is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Raul is looking to reverse the position. Metz JR goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Raul has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Metz JR but great work by Raul. Raul decides to take the fight back to the feet. Raul lands with a kick to the temple. Metz JR shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Raul tries to close the distance and clinch but Metz JR swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Raul wants to clinch up but Metz JR keeps it at a distance. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Metz JR misses with a takedown attempt and Raul counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Raul wants to stand but Metz JR has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Metz JR moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Metz JR not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Raul postures up and lands a big shot to Metz JR's brow. Metz JR working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Raul really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Metz JR. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Raul wants to get up but he can't break Metz JR's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ransom Metz JR has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! KC Raul is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! KC Raul comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Raul has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
