Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Layne Staley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Kray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Staley comes into the arena with Alice in Chains - No Excuses blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Kray's choice of entrance music: The Ying Tong Song. Ronald Kray has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Layne Staley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Ronald Kray! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Staley. Kray does a little dance to reset his feet. Staley lands a jab to Kray's midsection. Staley throws a hook but Kray blocks it. Kray misses with a low kick as Staley jumps back. Kray staying out of range there. Kray throws a shot from downtown. Staley moves away and avoids it. The fighters circle momentarily. Staley darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Kray misses with a body kick. Staley takes one on the button. Kray uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Staley has time to react. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Staley throws a jab but it's blocked by Kray. Staley swings for the body but Kray moves out of range.
Kray throws a hook to the side of Staley's head but Staley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Staley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kray manages to avoid it. Kray scores with a hook. Staley just misses with a punch to the body.
Ronald Kray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kray comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Staley. Kray does a little dance to reset his feet. Staley connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kray. Kray circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Staley tries a low kick but Kray avoids it. Staley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Staley counters with a two punch combo. Staley is looking to wear down Kray with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kray lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kray fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Staley checks it well. Kray throws a wild body kick that Staley sees coming a mile off. Kray uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Staley. Kray takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Staley misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for Staley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Kray counters with a nice body shot. Kray keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Keep your fist closed son. Kray is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Staley. Kray throws out a loose jab but Staley uses good head movement to avoid it. Staley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kray sees it coming and avoids it easily. Staley thuds a left hand into Kray's body. Staley thows a body shot but no joy. Staley scores with a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A chopping leg kick lands by Staley. Staley's corner calls for a 1-2. Staley obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. A shot to the liver by Staley. Beautiful body shot. Nice takedown defense from Kray. No joy for Staley on that attempt. Staley attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Kray leaves Staley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Staley lands a lovely overhand right. Kray throws out a loose jab but Staley uses good head movement to avoid it. Kray ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Staley moves away. A cross from Kray lands. Staley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Staley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kray moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Staley jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kray has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice uppercut lands for Kray. That snapped Staley's head back.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Kray sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Staley's defenses. It connects perfectly with Staley's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
