Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Walter Hannedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Alvarez's choice of entrance music: Enter The Sandman. Walter Hannedy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Thiago Alvarez's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hannedy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alvarez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Alvarez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Hannedy is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Alvarez to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Alvarez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hannedy slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Hannedy wants to control but Alvarez is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Alvarez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alvarez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hannedy is pulling down on Alvarez's head. It's preventing any offense from Alvarez, at least for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hannedy is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Walter Hannedy will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Alvarez shoots and misses
and Hannedy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Alvarez!
Hannedy is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hannedy extends the arm and Alvarez is forced to tap!
