Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Dayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Schaeffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dayne's entrance music is Getting Away With Murder - Papa Roach (Edit). A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jason Dayne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dirk Schaeffer! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dayne keeps the fight on the outside. Schaeffer misses with a takedown attempt - Dayne sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Schaeffer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Schaeffer trying to pass the guard but Dayne defending well. Schaeffer is taking a breather. Dayne says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Schaeffer is trying to control. Dayne wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Dayne moves into full guard.
Schaeffer wants to control from the top but Dayne keeps moving. Dayne looking for a guillotine here but Schaeffer defends easily.
Schaeffer won't allow Dayne to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Schaeffer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dayne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Schaeffer trying to control the position from guard on top but Dayne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Schaeffer is looking to clinch. Schaeffer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Schaeffer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dayne is breathing heavily. Schaeffer tries to control but Dayne wriggling away. Schaeffer punching from mount but Dayne doing a good job of avoiding damage. Schaeffer trying to control but Dayne is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schaeffer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Schaeffer lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Schaeffer controlling his opponent. Schaeffer tries to control but Dayne wriggling away. Schaeffer controlling his opponent. Dayne is squirming around, avoiding Schaeffer's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schaeffer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dayne to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dayne shrugs it off. Dayne tries to hold on but Schaeffer pushes him away. Schaeffer trying to control but Dayne is having none of it. Dayne throwing hammer fists to the chest of Schaeffer. What's that going to do exactly? Schaeffer content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Schaeffer trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Despite being in the dominant position, Dirk Schaeffer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Schaeffer looks for a takedown but Dayne sprawls well. Schaeffer shoots for a takedown but Dayne saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jason Dayne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dirk Schaeffer. Dayne feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dayne drops back, looking for a kneebar! Schaeffer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Schaeffer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Schaeffer! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dirk Schaeffer dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Schaeffer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dayne did well to prevent Schaeffer getting side control. Schaeffer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dayne keeps working. Schaeffer content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Schaeffer is keen to just control but Dayne is a slippery customer. Dayne regains full guard. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Schaeffer passes into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schaeffer is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schaeffer is looking to take a break and control but Dayne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Schaeffer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Dayne looking for submissions off his back. Schaeffer takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Dayne is staying active underneath Schaeffer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dirk Schaeffer. Dayne misses with a takedown attempt and Schaeffer counters with a series of strikes. Dayne will be more careful next time no doubt. Schaeffer tries for a takedown but Dayne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Schaeffer shoots in for a takedown but Dayne shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Dayne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Dayne wants to control the pace but Schaeffer is squirming around nicely. Dayne is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Schaeffer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dayne moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Schaeffer has worked his arm free - good work by Schaeffer!

Dirk Schaeffer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Schaeffer has his takedown stuffed so Dayne counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Schaeffer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Dayne actively working from the bottom here. Schaeffer performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dayne is not content to let Schaeffer control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dirk Schaeffer. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Schaeffer. Dayne keeps the fight on the outside.

Schaeffer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dayne did well to prevent Schaeffer getting side control. Schaeffer keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Dayne is staying active underneath Schaeffer, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Schaeffer thows a huge punch but Dayne dodges it nicely.

Schaeffer is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Schaeffer works his way into side control. Schaeffer controls the position from side control. Schaeffer tries for a kimura but Dayne is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schaeffer is looking to take a break and control but Dayne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Schaeffer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Dayne's shoulder. That is not cool. Schaeffer advances to full mount. Schaeffer is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dayne has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dayne! Schaeffer trying to control the position.
Dirk Schaeffer has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dayne wants to control from the top but Schaeffer keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dirk Schaeffer. I've got Schaeffer winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
