Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Groyce Racie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magus Arbenson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Racie blocks a head kick by Arbenson.

Racie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Arbenson can't do much from the bottom here.
Racie tries to move to mount but Arbenson blocks the move with his legs.

Racie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Racie goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Arbenson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Racie's guard! Nice work there by Arbenson!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Racie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Arbenson's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arbenson is on top in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Groyce Racie will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Racie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Arbenson to the mat! Arbenson manages to get full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arbenson throws a lazy right hand but Racie sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Racie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Arbenson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Racie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Racie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Arbenson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Racie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Racie seems to have got his legs back now.

Arbenson stuffs the takedown attempt from Racie. Racie gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Groyce Racie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Racie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Arbenson tries to avoid it but Racie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Arbenson to the ground. Arbenson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Racie takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Racie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Arbenson swivels and escapes.
