Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grapler Grapling!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy dips to his left and cracks Grapling with an uppercut!
Guy looks to throw the jab but Grapling is out of range.
Grapling shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Grapling looks for a takedown but Guy sprawls well.
Grapling takes a jab right on the kisser.
Guy lands a really nice looking cross but Grapling seems unphased.
Matt Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Grapling.
Guy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Matt Guy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grapler Grapling.
Guy scores with a nice head shot.
Guy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Grapling shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Guy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Guy tries to escape but Grapling is in control.

Grapling is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guy is trying to get back to his feet.

Grapling looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Guy is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Grapling tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grapling gets to mount! Guy was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Grapling is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Guy is surviving well by controlling Grapling's body position as best he can.
Guy can't escape the position.
Grapling won't let Guy get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Guy will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Guy connects with a single shot there.
Guy throws a big shot that misses.
Grapling avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Guy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Grapling on the side of the head.
Guy connects with a looping right hand.
Guy misses with a double jab.
Guy lands a right hook to the body.
Guy swinging wildly here.
Guy looks to land a combination. Grapling sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Guy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A slow jab from Guy misses its intended target.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Grapling is defended easily by Guy.
Guy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Grapling.
Guy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grapling moves away.

Grapling closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Guy quickly recovers to half guard.

Grapling is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Guy defends it well.
Guy wants to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Grapling is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Grapling maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Guy could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Grapling has cracked it and Guy is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Grapling!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Grapler Grapling!
