Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Stale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Stale. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt.
Stale darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jackson is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stale content to control rather than advance.
Stale wants to pass the guard but Jackson is defending well.

and Stale counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Stale counters by clinching up.
Jackson drags the fight down to the ground.

Jackson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stale is surviving well by controlling Jackson's body position as best he can.
Stale is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action.

Stale is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Stale really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jackson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stale is surviving well by controlling Jackson's body position as best he can.
Stale bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson keeping full guard, as Stale tries to pass.
Jackson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Stale wants to get up but he can't break Jackson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stale tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stale to the ground. Stale escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Stale bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jackson regains half guard.
Jackson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jackson.
Jackson has his foot on Stale's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stale works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Joe Stale will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Stale counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard.

Stale stops Jackson from standing up.
Stale missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jackson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Stale frees his head nicely. Oh but Jackson has switched to an armbar! Stale is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
