Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Ku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlon Pedrosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sasha Ku had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Sasha Ku has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ku looks for a takedown but Pedrosa sprawls well.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ku is on top in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pedrosa can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ku drops back looking for a leg! Pedrosa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pedrosa manages to kick Ku off! Ku jumps back into Pedrosa's guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ku swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pedrosa.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sasha Ku will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ku shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pedrosa as he avoids it easily.

Pedrosa jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ku is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ku and Pedrosa has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ku is trying to control but can't.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pedrosa is looking to take a break and control but Ku is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ku gets back to full guard.

Ku is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Pedrosa has his hands clasped together but Ku extends an breaks Pedrosa's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ku.
