Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura feints and as Tim raises his hands in defense, Kimura changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kimura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kimura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kimura stops Tim from standing up.
Kimura is looking to stand up but Tim won't let him.
Tim wants to stand up but Kimura is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kimura is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Tennis Tim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Penny Kimura.
Kimura closes the distance and pushes Tim back into the cage.
Tim creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Tim tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kimura smiles and moves away.
Tim doesn't manage to clinch there - Kimura circles away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tim pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Tim is looking to stand up but Kimura isn't so interested in that idea.
Kimura is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kimura must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kimura lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Kimura is looking for a kimura but Tim is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kimura to get the leverage.
Tim wants to get back to his feet.

Kimura escapes and gets back to his feet.
Kimura throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tim was covering up waiting for the punch and Kimura finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kimura drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Kimura seems to have locked his on tight now - Tim screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Kimura, as he picks up the win!
