Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Adkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wrestling Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adkins lands with a shot to the body.
Adkins looks for a takedown but Beast sprawls well.
Beast slips under a jab.
Adkins scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Beast closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Beast really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Adkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Beast has Adkins up against the cage in a clinch.

Beast's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

so Beast counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Beast must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Adkins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Adkins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Beast is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Adkins drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Beast manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Adkins has Beast in his guard.

Adkins has his foot on Beast's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beast works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Trevor Adkins will probably get the nod.

Adkins looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Beast has picked Adkins up and slammed him! Adkins can't keep hold of the triangle and Beast manages to pass to side control!
