Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Rourk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe comes to the cage accompanied by Insane Clown Posse - In Yo Face. Michael Rourk has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with John Doe's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Doe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Rourk! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doe looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rourk! Rourk is looking to improve his position but Doe isn't that keen on the idea. Doe thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Rourk is wriggling around trying to escape.
Doe throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Doe tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Doe wants to finish this one by submission but Rourk is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Doe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rourk is wriggling around trying to escape.
Doe throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Rourk is working to get back to half guard.
Doe throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Rourk is bucking up trying to escape but Doe cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Doe sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Doe thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Rourk wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Doe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rourk tries to hold on but Doe pushes him away. Doe throws some wild stikes that Rourk manages to avoid easily.
Doe throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rourk is looking to get to half guard. Doe trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rourk is desperately trying to improve his position but Doe has a good base and remains in mount. Doe looking to control and managing it successfully. Rourk throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe controlling from the full mount. Rourk tries to get back to half guard but can't. Doe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rourk is looking to escape. Rourk is looking to get to half guard. Doe tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Doe throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Rourk is desperately trying to improve his position but Doe has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Doe looking to finish with strikes here!
Rourk is trying to reverse the position but instead Doe has taken his back - oops! Rourk needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation. Doe looking to hold on to the position here but Rourk rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Rourk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Doe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Doe shoots in for a double leg but Rourk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rourk drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rourk slows the pace down. Doe managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Rourk.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Doe dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Doe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rourk drops back looking for a leg! Doe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Doe manages to kick Rourk off! Rourk jumps back into Doe's guard. Doe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rourk doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rourk manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Doe controls Rourk momentarily but Rourk frees himself. Rourk trying to control but Doe is working from the bottom. Rourk tries to free his leg and advance position but Doe is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rourkis looking to pass into half guard but Doe pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Doe is in guard. Rourk wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rourk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Doe actively working from the bottom here. Doe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Doe is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Doe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rourk tries to pass to full mount but Doe defends it. Doe looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rourk trying to control the action but Doe is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rourk throwing shots but Doe is blocking nicely.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rourk misses with a takedown attempt and Doe counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rourk won't be happy with that. Rourk is trying to get back to half guard. Doe lands a decent elbow from side control. Rourk can't do much from the bottom here. Doe remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Rourk is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rourk defending against the ground and pound. Doe throws an elbow but Rourk slips to the side and avoids it well. Doe working away.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Doe scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. You can see the frustration on Rourk's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rourk gets back to half guard. Rourk moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe trying to control the position from guard on top but Rourk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rourk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Doe's guard. Doe keeping moving, preventing Rourk from controlling successfully. Rourk tries to free his leg and advance position but Doe is retaining full guard. Rourk wants to control from the top but Doe keeps moving. Doe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Doe looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rourk passes into half guard.
Rourk trying to control from half guard but Doe is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that John Doe will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Rourk shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Doe counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rourk! Doe avoids the attempt from Rourk to control. Rourk manages to regain half guard. Good work. Doe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Rourk works his way to full guard. Good work. Rourk is trying to control the position but Doe postures up. Rourk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Doe defends it easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe postures up.
Doe is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rourk has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Doe is looking to defend but Rourk has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Doe! Rourk pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Doe taps out and this one is all over!
