Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kelly True (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateo Sucic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sucic has chosen profesor jakov as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! True stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sucic. True looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Sucic lands a head kick!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Sucic tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. True smiles and moves away.
True tries to bum rush Sucic with a series of wild strikes but Sucic uses good footwork to avoid the assault. An inside leg kick lands from Sucic. Sucic lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Sucic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in True's half guard. Sucic postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for True to stand up. Sucic scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sucic lands a nice short elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sucic cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sucic lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. True is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Sucic has control of True's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and True regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sucic lands a heavy elbow. Sucic jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but True manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Mateo Sucic dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sucic is putting a hurting on True here, landing some big shots from side control. Sucic cracks True with a big right hand but True just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
True is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sucic asserts his dominance and retains side control. Sucic lands a shot to the head. True trying to get back to his feet but Sucic is in full control for now. Mateo Sucic has got the better of the ground game so far. Sucic has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, True has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. True is trying to shake Sucic off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Sucic won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Sucic scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. True regains half guard there - taking advantage of Sucic's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Sucic tries to stand and escape but True is controlling the position. Sucic lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Sucic decides to stand up. Sucic drives through and clinches with True against the cage.

A nice leg kick lands there from Sucic. Sucic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. True looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ground and pound from Sucic seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mateo Sucic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sucic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sucic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sucic scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sucic trying to control the position from guard on top but True is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. True is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. True keeping moving, preventing Sucic from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. True stuffs the takedown. Sucic has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sucic shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts True as he jumps to the side. Sucic will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sucic prevents True from breaking the clinch. Sucic drops down looking for an ankle pick but True pulls his leg out and moves away.

True clinches but Sucic breaks the clinch and Sucic counters by moving into the clinch. True is looking to control Sucic's arms but Sucic gets an underhook and turns him. Now True has his back to the cage. Sucic manages to pull guard.
Kelly True has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! True scoring with some ground and pound. True stops Sucic from standing up. True won't allow Sucic to sweep him here. Sucic will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sucic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. True avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sucic wriggles free and stands up. True tries to clinch up and Sucic counters with a shoot takedown. True fights it but they end up in guard. True had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sucic defends it easily. Sucic decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on True, up you get!
And that's the end of the fight! Mateo Sucic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sucic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
