Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkhov throws a hook but Pepper blocks it.
Pepper shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Volkhov as he jumps to the side.
Pepper shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Volkhov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Pepper tries to free his leg and advance position but Volkhov is retaining full guard.

Volkhov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pepper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pepper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pepper wants to free his trapped foot but Volkhov is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Volkhov is controlling an arm, preventing Pepper from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Pepper jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Volkhov manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Pepper tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pepper has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pepper is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Volkhov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Volkhov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pepper's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pepper's back!

Volkhov lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Volkhov throws a lazy right hand but Pepper sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Pepper ducks under a wild hook from Volkhov.
Volkhov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pepper in his tracks.

Volkhov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Pepper is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Volkhov throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Pepper has his hands clasped together but Volkhov breaks the hold and Pepper is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Volkhov!
