Ruas's entrance music is Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. A fine choice. Marco Ruas has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Jai White! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White throws a half hearted mid kick. White lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ruas's sensitive parts. White swings away with a leg kick that misses. White clinches up against the cage. White landing some nice looking knees to the body.
White tries a knee to the head but Ruas blocks it.
Ruas tries to pull guard but White holds him up against the cage and eventually Ruas drops back down to his feet.
White manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

White pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. White drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ruas gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ruas fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from White. Michael Jai White seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. White comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as White walks away with a smile on his face. Ruas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ruas dips down and scores with a jab to the body. White walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ruas checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. White is looking to score with low kicks. White tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ruas swats him away and circles back towards the center. White throws a leg kick which misses Ruas's front leg but catches the back leg as Ruas tries to avoid it. White thuds his shin into the meat of Ruas's side. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ruas chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before White can pounce on him.
White misses with a body kick. Ruas sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. White tries to clinch up. White drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. White working the ground and pound from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruas is not content to let White control the position. White cracks Ruas with a big right hand but Ruas just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! White is looking to take a break and control but Ruas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ruas takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Ruas defending against the ground and pound. White goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ruas has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for White but great work by Ruas. White manages to get back to half guard.

Ruas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and White defends it well. Ruas tries to pass the half guard into mount. White knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. White is looking to escape. White is defending against the submission attempts here by Ruas.
Ruas prevents White from improving his position. Ruas is trying to control the action in half guard but White is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Jai White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Marco Ruas's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Ruas has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by White. A cross from Ruas lands. Good work by Ruas as he checks the leg kick. Ruas moves out of range of the leg kick from White. White tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ruas is able to avoid easily. Michael Jai White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ruas tries for a takedown but White sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. White fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ruas avoids it really well and circles away. White lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ruas checks a leg kick nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ruas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, White rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ruas's guard! Nice work there by White! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruas keeping full guard, as White tries to pass. White wanted to stand there but Ruas had control of the position. White working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Ruas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. White's corner is telling him to maintain position. Marco Ruas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. White cracks Ruas with a solid left hand. White landing with the ground and pound. Ruas is looking for a triangle but White pushes his legs off easily.
Ruas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. White with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. White lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. White is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. White loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. White thows a huge punch but Ruas dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. White is just content to waste time from the top position. Ruas takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. White working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. White makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. White keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ruas's head. White wants to control from the top but Ruas keeps moving. White is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Ruas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

And that's the end of the fight! Michael Jai White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well White has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
