The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Emppe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Matthews.
Matthews tries for a takedown but Emppe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Matthews is looking to clinch but Emppe is avoiding it.
Emppe dances in with a quick combination. Matthews is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Emppe snaps Matthews's head back. Matthews stumbles backwards against the cage. Emppe steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Matthews's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Matthews just didn't come prepared.
