The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCoy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Viking's guard.
McCoy tries to free his leg and advance position but Viking is retaining full guard.
McCoy makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Viking wants to get back to his feet but McCoy is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
McCoy passes Viking's left leg - he's now in half guard.

McCoy is looking for a kimura but Viking is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McCoy to get the leverage.

McCoy is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Viking to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Viking shrugs it off.

McCoy is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Viking has managed to escape the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McCoy has hold of Viking's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Viking manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
